Design Specialties and Construction Inc.

Design Specialties provides an array of construction functions for our customers such as: Repairs and Damage claims for Comcast Cable Communications, Graceland Enterprises and Royal Services. We have performed as General Contractors as well as General Trades Contractors for other large construction managers and contractors such as: BAE Systems at Millington Naval Support Facilities, Construction Management Plus on the Comcast Facilities Operation Center,  Martin Construction Co. Inc. on the Life and Safety Upgrades at FAA Control Tower Memphis International Airport  and Lyca Construction Co. Inc. on the TSA Offices and Breakrooms at Memphis International Airport. We have constructed over 200 projects at Memphis International Airport over the past 10 years ranging from computer rooms, offices, utility services for Jet Bridges, security enhancements to Airport I.D. Offices, retail merchandise stores, restrooms and food service stores. All of our employees  are drug tested and have had FBI Background checks for working on Government Facilities. We have worked on Military Bases, Airports, Federal Prisons and Court Houses around the South. We offer services such as carpentry, demolition, painting, concrete work, walls and ceilings as well as various specialty items. Photos of the Blue Note Cafe @ Memphis International Airport constructed in January of 2006 and completed in 68 days. We had to demo the Budweiser Brew House in this time frame as well. We had constructed the Brew House in 2001 for a different  owner/tenant. This space won an Award for innovative lighting and design and was awarded to Self Tucker Architects in Memphis. The cost of this Project was just over $1,722,000.00. A successfull Project for all involved!
